Diploma in Catholic Education - St Patrick’s College, Maynooth and the University of Notre Dame (USA

Application Forms for the 2015/2016 cohort of the Diploma in Catholic Education are now available. The application deadline is Friday, April 17th.  See links below for electronic version of the information pamphlet and the application from.

The Diploma in Catholic Education (DCE) represents a partnership between St Patrick's College, Maynooth and the University of Notre Dame (USA). The DCE is a one-year programme that is structured around three pillars: Community, Professionalism and Spirituality. The goal of the programme is to engage teachers around the question of what it means to be a Catholic school and a Catholic school teacher. The hope for the course is that these teachers will grow more fully in their own faith through a deeper understanding of their vocation as a teacher and to truly see their work as an expression of their faith.

The Professionalism pillar is highlighted through the course modules. There are six modules that are part of the course with two completed in the evening during the academic year, one from September to December and the other from January to May. The final four modules will be completed during a two-week summer school that will take place during the first two weeks of July in Galway.
